The University takes pleasure to welcome you and ultimately Hector Pieterson Residences. Together with student leaders we are committed in serving and working with you to create an atmosphere conducive to academic, intellectual, social and emotional growth. Hector Pieterson Residences campus residences are a place where we hope you will be proud to call your home away from home. Our residences are situated close to all necessary facilities (Library, Computer Labs, Classes, etc.)
Consider these suggestions when deciding what you pack for the big move. Your room already includes a single bed, desk, chair, book case and wardrobe. However in addition please bring along the following items:
• Duvet, comforter or blanket and sheet and the night frill.
• Pillows, towels and washcloths
• Alarm clock
• Toiletries( toilet paper provided)
• Iron, Laundry detergent and pegs
• Swimming costume
• Medication and medical aid if you have one
Although the university has computers available, if you are fortunate enough, bring your own along. Free WI-FI is available for students.
Kindly note that Hector Pieterson Residences will open on the 28th of January 2022, when you are expected to arrive. We look forward to seeing you in year 2022. Please remember to sign in the check-in form when moving in as it is compulsory to sign it.
